# The Social Security (Claims and Payments) (Amendment) Regulations 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 13th April 2021
Coming into force 4th May 2021
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5(1)(p) and 189(1) and (4) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992.
In accordance with section 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, the Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations shall not be referred to them.
