# The Social Security (Contributions) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1998, Regulation 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Social Security (Contributions) Amendment (No. 3) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force–
(a) for the purposes of regulations 2(1), 4, 5, 6, 9 and 10, on 1st October 1998;
(b) for all other purposes, on 6th April 1999.
(2) In these Regulations “the principal Regulations” means the Social Security (Contributions) Regulations 1979.
