# The Social Security (Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2003, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 4th February 2003
Coming into force 6th April 2003
The Treasury, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 3(2), 5, 14(1) and (5), 17, 19(1), (2) and (5A) and 175(3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, with the concurrence of the Secretary of State insofar as required, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by sections 3(2), 5, 14(1) and (5), 17, 19(1), (2) and (5A) and 171(3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992, with the concurrence of the Department for Social Development insofar as required, and the Commissioners of Inland Revenue, in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by paragraphs 3 and 6(1) of Schedule 1 to each of those Acts, hereby make the following Regulations:
