# The Social Security (Contributions) (Amendment) Regulations 2012, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 29th February 2012
Coming into force 26th March 2012
The Treasury make the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 19(1) and (5A) and 175(3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 and sections 19(1) and (5A) and 171(3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits (Northern Ireland) Act 1992 and now exercisable by them.
