# The Social Security (Disability Living Allowance) (Amendment) Regulations 2010, Regulation 3: Health care professionals


For the purposes of section 39(1) of the Social Security Act 1998 (meaning of health care professional), in relation to a claim for disability living allowance under section 73(1AB) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992, the following persons are health care professionals—
(a) an optometrist registered with the General Optical Council;
(b) an orthoptist registered with the Health Professions Council.
