Article 2 Amendment of the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations

(1)

The Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1987^f1 are amended as follows.

(2)

In regulation 4ZC(2)^f2(electronic claims for benefit)—

(a)

after “a Jobseeker’s allowance,” insert “maternity allowance”;

(b)

after “retirement pension” insert “a social fund funeral payment, a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses”.

(3)

In regulation 32ZA(2)^f3(information given electronically)—

(a)

after paragraph (f) insert “(fa) maternity allowance;”; and

(b)

after paragraph (ga) insert “(gb) a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses;”.

(4)

In Schedule 8D^f4 (conditions for the use of electronic communication) in paragraph (2) after “a social fund funeral payment” insert “a social fund payment in respect of maternity expenses, maternity allowance”.
