# The Social Security (Incapacity for Work) Amendment Regulations 2006, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 14th March 2006
Laid before Parliament 20th March 2006
Coming into force 10th April 2006
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 171D and 175(1), (3) and (4) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992.
In accordance with section 172(1) of the Social Security Administration Act 1992 he has referred the proposals to make these Regulations to the Social Security Advisory Committee.
