# The Social Security (Invalid Care Allowance) Amendment Regulations 2001, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 2nd March 2001
Coming into force 6th April 2001
The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 70(8) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that proposals to make these Regulations should not be referred to it, hereby makes the following Regulations:
