  "text": "(1) The 1954 c. 33 (N.I.) Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954 shall apply to Article 1 and the following provisions of this Order as it applies to a Measure of the Northern Ireland Assembly.\n(2) In this Order—\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\nDefinition rep. by 1993 c.49\n“the benefit Acts” means—\n(a)the 1973 c. 38 Social Security Act 1973;\n(b)the Social Security (Northern Ireland) Acts 1975 to 1991;\nSub.‐paras. (c),(d) rep. by 1992 c. 9\nDefinition rep. by 1993 c.49\n“the Department” means the Department of Health and Social Services;\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\nDefinitions rep. by 1993 c.49\nDefinitions rep. by 1992 c.9\nDefinition rep. by 1993 c.49\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\nDefinition rep. by 1993 c.49\n“modifications” includes additions, omissions and amendments, and related expressions shall be construed accordingly;\nDefinitions rep. by 1993 c.49\n“prescribed” means specified in or determined in accordance with regulations;\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\n“the principal Act” means the 1975 c. 15 Social Security (Northern Ireland) Act 1975;\nDefinition rep. by 1993 c.49\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\n“rate rebate”, “rent rebate” and “rent allowance” shall be construed in accordance with Article 29;\n“rates” has the same meaning as in the 1977 NI 28 Rates (Northern Ireland) Order 1977;\n“regulations” means regulations made by the Department under this Order;\nDefinition rep. by 1988 NI 2\n“statutory provision” has the meaning assigned to it by section 1(f) of the 1954 c. 33 (N.I.) Interpretation Act (Northern Ireland) 1954;\nDefinitions rep. by 1993 c.49\nDefinition rep. by 1992 c.9\nParas. (3),(4)—rep. by 1993 c.49",
