  "text": "(1) Subject to sub-paragraph (2) below, this Part of this Schedule overrides any provision of a scheme to the extent that it conflicts with this Part of this Schedule.\n(2) This Part of this Schedule does not override a protected provision of a scheme.\n(3) Subject to sub-paragraph (4) below, in sub-paragraph (2) above “protected provision” has the same meaning as it has in subsection (2) of section 41C above by virtue of subsection (3) of that section.\n(4) In its application to schemes which are not contracted-out section 41C(3) above shall have effect for the purpose of this paragraph as if—\n(a) there were omitted—\n(i) from paragraph (a), sub-paragraph (ii) and the word “or” immediately preceding it;\n(ii) from paragraph (b), the word “and”; . . .\n(iii) from paragraph (c), the words from “authorised” to the end; and\n(iv) from paragraph (e), the words from “as respects” to “guaranteed minimum pension”.\n(b) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .",
