# The Social Security Pensions (Low Earnings Threshold) Order 2002, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 17th January 2002
Coming into force 6th April 2002
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, in exercise of powers conferred on him by section 148A of the Social Security Administration Act 1992, and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, it having appeared to the Secretary of State on a review under that section that the general level of earnings in Great Britain has increased during the review period, hereby makes the following Order:
