# Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968, Section 77: Meaning of child for the purposes of this Part of this Act.

Extent: E+W+S+N.I.

(1) “Child” in this Part of this Act means—
(a) for the purpose of sections 69 to 71, a child within the meaning of Part III of this Act,
(b) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
(c) for any other purpose, a person under eighteen.
(2) “Parent” in this Part of this Act includes a guardian.
