# The Solicitors (Compensation for Inadequate Professional Services) Order 2000, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order)
This Order increases the maximum compensation that the Council of the Law Society may direct a solicitor to pay his client for inadequate professional services from £1,000 to £5,000.
