# The Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal (Increase in Penalty) Order 1990, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Order.)
This order amends section 47(2)(c) of the Solicitors Act 1974 by increasing the maximum penalty which the Solicitors Disciplinary Tribunal may order a solicitor to pay from £3,000 to £5,000.
