  "text": "In this Order—\n“the 1972 Act” means the Local Government Act 1972;\n“the 2000 Act” means the Local Government Act 2000;\n“the 2007 Act” means the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act 2007;\n“Somerset”, except in the definition of “the Somerset Council” and the second mention of those words in article 3(2) means the County of Somerset;\n“the 2022 election” means the election required by article 13(1) to be held in 2022;\n“the 2022 election day” means the ordinary day of election of councillors in 2022;\n“the article 7 functions” has the meaning given by article 6(2)(b);\n“the district councils” means Mendip District Council, Sedgemoor District Council, Somerset West and Taunton Council and South Somerset Council;\n“the Somerset Council” means the council of the county of Somerset;\n“the first transitional period” means the period beginning on the date on which this Order comes into force and ending on the fourth day after the 2022 election day;\n“the Implementation Executive” means the committee established (whether before or after the coming into force of this Order) for the purposes of article 6(3);\n“the main transitional function” has the meaning given by article 6(1);\n“the second transitional period” means the period beginning on the fourth day after the 2022 election day and ending on 1st April 2023.",
