# The South Devon Railway Order 2009, Article 8: Power to maintain altered railways


(1) Regardless of anything to the contrary contained in any enactment, with effect from the transfer date the undertaker may maintain the altered railways in the lines and situations, and within the limits of deviation, shown on the deposited plans, and in accordance with the levels shown on the deposited sections.
(2) As from the transfer date the original Acts shall apply to the altered railways as if they formed part of the railways authorised to be constructed by the original Acts.
