# The South West Water Authority (Dissolution) Order 2014, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State makes this Order, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 4(3) of the Water Act 1989 (“the Act”).
In accordance with section 4(5) of the Act, the Secretary of State has consulted the South West Water Authority, the Environment Agency and South West Water Limited and is satisfied that nothing further remains to be done by the South West Water Authority under any scheme under Schedule 2 to the Act.
