  "long_title": "These Regulations amend the provisions of the Special Constables Regulations 1965 relating to sick pay. They enable a special constable who suffers injury or contracts a disease in connection with his duties to receive sick pay equal to his resulting loss of remuneration in his private employment, even where that is greater than the rate of pay of a member of a police force of the rank of constable, subject to the deduction of certain sickness benefits, for up to 28 weeks instead of 26 weeks.",
