# The Special Constables (Injury Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations 1987

## Introductory text

This Statutory Instrument has been made in consequence of a defect in S.I. 1987/156 and is being issued free of charge to all known recipients of S.I 1987/159 (the Instrument amended by this Instrument).

Made 3rd March 1987
Laid before Parliament 9th March 1987
Coming into force 17th March 1987
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 34 of the Police Act 1964 (read with section 1(2) of the Police Pensions Act 1961), as amended and extended by sections 12 and 15 of the Superannuation Act 1972, I hereby make the following Regulations:

## 1 

These Regulations may be cited as the Special Constables (Injury Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations 1987.

## 2 

These Regulations shall come into force on 17th March 1987 and shall have effect as from 25th November 1982.

## 3 

Regulation 4 of the Special Constables (Injury Benefit) Regulations 1987 shall be amended as follows—
(a) after the words “Police (Injury Benefit) Regulations 1987” there shall be inserted the words “(as amended by the Police (Injury Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations 1987)”; and
(b) in paragraph (a)(iii), the words “on or after that date and” shall be omitted.

These Regulations amend the Special Constables (Injury Benefit) Regulations 1987 in consequence of the Police (Injury Benefit) (Amendment) Regulations 1987 (which correct certain errors in the Police (Injury Benefit) Regulations 1987).
As in the case of each of the above-mentioned instruments, these Regulations come into force on 17th March 1987 and have effect as from 25th November 1982 (retrospection is authorised by sections 12 and 15 of the Superannuation Act 1972).
