# The Special Educational Needs and Disability (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2020, Introduction: Introductory text

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 30(8), 31(4), 36(11), 37(4), 44(7)(b) and (c), 47, 49(3), 51(4), 56(1), 71(11), 73(4), 74(3) and 135(2) and (3) of the Children and Families Act 2014 and sections 29(3) and 569(4) of the Education Act 1996.
