Article 12 Exceptions from the requirement to stain specified bovine material
The requirement in articles 9 and 10 above to stain specified bovine material shall not apply—
(a)
if the specified bovine material is to be sent to a veterinary or medical school, laboratory, hospital or similar institution for instructional, diagnostic or research purposes; or
(b)
to specified solid waste,
provided that it is stored separately from all other animal materials and is clearly identified as specified bovine material.
