# The Spring Traps Approval (Amendment) Order (Northern Ireland) 2021, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into operation 4th January 2022
The Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 12A(3) of the Wildlife (Northern Ireland) Order 1985 and having in accordance with Article 29(3) of that Order consulted the Council for Nature Conservation and the Countryside, and any district council or other person affected, and taken into consideration any objections or representations duly received, makes the following Order.
