# The Spring Traps Approval (Scotland) Amendment Order 2023, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st January 2024
The Scottish Ministers make the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 50(3) and 85(3) of the Agriculture (Scotland) Act 1948 and all other powers enabling them to do so.
