Regulation 3 Revocations and transitional provisions

(1)

Subject to paragraphs (2) and (4), the Regulations specified in the Schedule hereto are hereby revoked.

(2)

The Regulations revoked by paragraph (1) shall continue to have effect in relation to state scholarships for mature students bestowed thereunder before the coming into operation of these Regulations.

(3)

A state award bestowed, or anything done, in pursuance of the Regulations revoked by paragraph (1) before the coming into operation of these Regulations, in so far as it could have been bestowed or done in pursuance of these Regulations, shall, for the purposes thereof, be treated as having been so bestowed or done.

(4)

In accordance with Regulation 1(2), in respect of persons ordinarily resident in Wales, the Regulations revoked by paragraph (1) shall continue to have effect in so far as they relate to—

(a)

state scholarships for mature students, and

(b)

state bursaries for adult education;

and, accordingly, in respect of such persons, paragraphs (2) and (3) shall not have effect in relation to such awards.
