# The State Pension Credit (Amendment) Regulations 2005, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 22nd November 2005
Coming into force 18th December 2005
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by section 175(1) and (3) of the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992 and sections 7(4), 16(2) and 17(1) of the State Pension Credit Act 2002.
The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it.
