# Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989, Section 3: Short title and commencement


1) This Act may be cited as the Statute Law (Repeals) Act 1989.
2) The repeal by this Act of—
(a) section 3 of the 1957 c. 60.Federation of Malaya Independence Act 1957, and
(b) section 5 of the Malaysia Act 1963,
shall come into force on such day as the Lord Chancellor may by order made by statutory instrument appoint.
