They come into force on the 1st January, 1948, on which day come also into force the Statutory Instruments (Confirmatory Powers) Order, 1947 (S.I. 1948 No. 2), and the Act itself (by the Statutory Instruments Act, 1946 (Commencement) Order, 1947 (S.I. 1948 No. 3)).",
