# The Statutory Maternity Pay (General) Amendment Regulations 1990, Introduction: Introductory text


TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Made 15th March 1990
Laid before Parliament 16th March 1990
Coming into force
for the purposes of regulation 6 6th May 1990
for all other purposes 6th April 1990
The Secretary of State for Social Security, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 46(8), 50(1) and (4), 83(1) and 84(1) of, and paragraphs 8A, 11 and 11A of Schedule 4 to the Social Security Act 1986 , and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, after agreement by the Social Security Advisory Committee that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it , hereby makes the following Regulations:—
