# The Steeple Renewables Project Order 2026, Paragraph 13: Soil management plan (SMP)


(1) No phase of the authorised development can commence until an SMP prepared in accordance with the outline SMP for that phase has been submitted to and approved by the local planning authority in consultation with Natural England.
(2) The SMP must be implemented in accordance with the scheme as approved pursuant to sub-paragraph (1) and the implemented measures thereafter maintained throughout the operation of the relevant part of the authorised development to which the plan relates in accordance with the approved SMP.
