# The Stonehenge Regulations 1997, Introduction: Introductory text


ANCIENT MONUMENTS
Made 18th August 1997
Coming into force 8th September 1997
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 19(3) and (4) of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following regulations:—
