# The Students' Allowances (Scotland) Regulations 1996, Introduction: Introductory text

Coming into force 1st August 1996
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 73(f) and 74(1) of the Education (Scotland) Act 1980 and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
