# Suffragans Nomination Act 1888, Introduction: Introductory text


An Act to make further provision for the Nomination of Bishops Suffragans.
[24th December 1888]
Whereas by the Suffragan Bishops Act 1534 it was enacted that the towns therein named should be taken and accepted for sees of bishops suffragans:
And whereas it is desirable to add to the number of towns for the purposes of that Act:
