# The Superannuation (Fire and Specified Services) Interchange Rules 1972, Paragraph 3


The sum to be paid by a fire authority under Rule 5, calculated in accordance with the preceding provisions of this Schedule, shall be reduced by a sum, subject to paragraph 4, equal to that of any award paid to him on retirement from service as a regular fireman by way of gratuity or return of aggregate contributions.
