# Taxation Act 1678, Section LIX: Proviso for a Decree in Chancery respecting Lands in Sheriff Hales, &c.


Provided alwayes That nothing in this Act shall be construed to extend or invalidate a Decree lately made in the High Court of Chauncery for the quieting of Suites betweene the Countyes of Salop and Stafford and for the setleing all future payments to be imposed on certaine Lands in Sheriffe Hales within the County of Salop and for exempting the said Lands from paying hereafter with the County of Stafford but that the said Decree shall remaine in such (and noe other) force as it did before the makeing of this Act Any thing herein to the contrary notwithstanding.
