# Taxation Act 1695, Section LXIV: Proviso for Rectory, &c. not exceeding £40.


Provided neverthelesse and it is hereby further enacted That nothing in this Act contained shall extend to charge or tax any Rector or Vicar who has the Cure of Souls and actually resides upon his Rectory or Vicaridge (upon the Account of such his Rectory or Vicaridge onely) unlesse his Rectory or Vicaridge does really and truly exceed the Value of Forty Pounds by the Yeare and unlesse he has more then One Rectory or Vicaridge.
