# Taxation (No. 2) Act 1697, Section LI: Proviso, where within to Days after Meeting of Commissioners, he shall take the Oaths.


Provided neverthelesse That if any such Papist or reputed Papist within Ten Days after the first Meeting of the said Co[m]missioners in the respective Counties or Places where hee or she ought to be taxed or assessed according to the Intent of this present Act shall take the said Oaths before two or more of the said Co[m]missioners (which Oaths the said Two or more Co[m]missioners are impowered to administer) in that Case hee or she shall not be liable to be doubly assessed as aforesaid.
