# Taxation (No. 2) Act 1697, Section LXX: Register to be kept in the Exchequer of Monies paid into Exchequer.


Provided always and be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid That there shall be provided and kept in His Majesties Excheq[uer] that is to say in the Office of the Auditor of the Receipt One Book or Register in which all the Moneys that shall be paid into the Exchequer for the Pound Rate and other Duties hereby granted shall be entred and registred apart and distinct from all other Moneys paid and payable to His Majesty.
