# Taxation (No. 2) Act 1697, Section XXXVII: Proviso respecting Assessments on Houses of Foreign Ministers.


Provided alwaya and be it enacted That every Rate Tax or Assessment which shall be made or imposed by virtue of this Act in respect of any House or Tenement which an Ambassador Resident Agent or other publick Minister of any Forreigne Prince or State now doth or shall inhabit or occupy shall be paid by the Landlord or Owner of the said House or Tenements respectively.
