Section XVII This Act not to give any new Powers for licensing Hawkers, &c. to sell Goods in Cities, &c.

Provided always and be it further enacted by the Authority aforesaid That this Act or any thing therein contained shall not extend or be construed to give any Power for the licensing of any Hawker Pedlar or Petty Chapman to sell or expose to sale any Wares or Merchandizes in any City Borough Towne Corporate or Markett Towne within this Realme any otherwise than might have X1been done before the making of this Act Any thing therein contained to the contrary in any wise notwithstanding.
