# The Teacher Training Agency (Additional Functions) (England) Order 2005, Introduction: Introductory text

Laid before Parliament 6th April 2005
Coming into force 2nd May 2005
Having regard to the general objectives of the Teacher Training Agency and being of the opinion that they may appropriately discharge the additional function hereby conferred, and having carried out such consultation as appears to her to be appropriate in accordance with section 16(3) of the Education Act 1994, the Secretary of State for Education and Skills, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16(1) and 23(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
