# The Teacher Training Agency (Additional Functions) (No. 3) (England) Order 2003, Article 2: Interpretation


In this Order—
“the Agency” means the Teacher Training Agency;
“higher level teaching assistant” means a person who assists or supports the work of a teacher in a school and who has met any standards for higher level teaching assistants published by the Secretary of State; and
“training for higher level teaching assistants” includes any training or education with the object of fitting persons to be higher level teaching assistants or better higher level teaching assistants and any assessment of persons against any standards for higher level teaching assistants published by the Secretary of State.
