# The Teacher Training Agency (Additional Functions) Order 1997, Introduction: Introductory text

Made 6th November 1997
Laid before Parliament 10th November 1997
Coming into force 1st December 1997
Being of the opinion that the Teacher Training Agency may, having regard to their general objectives, appropriately discharge the additional functions hereby conferred and having carried out such consultation as appears to him to be appropriate pursuant to section 16 (3) of the Education Act 1994, the Secretary of State for Education and Employment, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 16(1) and 23(2) of that Act, hereby makes the following Order:
