  "text": "(This note is not part of the Order)\nThis Order confers on the Teaching Training Agency, established under section 1 of the Education Act 1994, the additional function of arranging the assessment of candidates for national tests for teacher training candidates in literacy, numeracy and information and communications technology.\nNumeracy tests will be administered to teachers undertaking induction under the Education (Induction Arrangements for School Teachers) (England) Regulations 1999 (S.I. 1999/1065) who qualify on or after 1st May 2000 and before 1st May 2001. Teachers qualifying on or after 1st May 2001 will need to have passed all three tests.\nThis Order also revokes the Teacher Training Agency (Additional Functions) Order 1998 (S.I. 1998/1194).",
