# The Teachers' Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 1998, Regulation 1: Citation, commencement and interpretation


(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Teachers' Pensions (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st November 1998, but—
(a) regulations 3, 7 to 9, 12(b) and (c), 13, regulation 2 insofar as it relates to those regulations and regulation 16 shall have effect from 1st September 1998; and
(b) regulation 14 and regulation 2 insofar as it relates to that regulation shall have effect from 3rd February 1998.
(2) In these regulations “the Principal Regulations” means the Teachers' Pensions Regulations 1997.
