# The Teachers' Pensions Regulations 1997, Paragraph 34


This Part applies to a person who—
(a) immediately before he was in pensionable employment (within the meaning of these Regulations) was in pensionable employment within the meaning of the 1995 Regulations; and
(b) who ceased to be in pensionable employment within the meaning of the 1995 Regulations and became employed in pensionable employment within the meaning of these Regulations by virtue of a relevant transfer within the meaning of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 1981.
