  "text": "(1) This paragraph applies where a person paying additional contributions in accordance with Method 1, as described in paragraph 1 of Schedule 5, elects to cease to pay such contributions in accordance with paragraph 4 of that Schedule.\n(2) Where this paragraph applies, the person is entitled to count as reckonable service—\nA×CB where—\nA is the number of years (or part thereof) elected to be purchased,\nB is the period for which contributions were payable, and\nC is so much of B as had elapsed by the date on which the election has effect in accordance with paragraph 4(2) of Schedule 5.",
