Regulation 15 Actuarial reduction of short-term family benefits

In regulation E24 (amount and duration of short-term family benefits)—

(a)

in paragraph (1) for “paragraph (2)” there shall be substituted “paragraphs (2) and (4)”;

(b)

in paragraph (3)^f1 “Subject to paragraph (4)” shall be omitted; and

(c)

there shall be added at the end^f2 the following paragraph—

“(4)

Where regulation E5(5) applies (actuarial reduction of pension on early retirement) the annual rate of a short-term pension payable under regulation E23 shall be the annual rate calculated in accordance with paragraph (1) or (2) multiplied by the appropriate factor.”.
