  "text": "(1) The references to British Telecommunications in the following enactments (under which British Telecommunications is a statutory undertaker and its undertaking a statutory undertaking) shall (without prejudice to the following provisions of this Schedule) cease to have effect, namely—\n(a) section 73(1) of the Control of Pollution Act 1974;\n(b) section 10(4) of the Scottish Development Agency Act 1975;\n(c) section 27(1) of the Welsh Development Agency Act 1975;\n(d) section 44(1) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976;\n(e) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(f) Article 53(1) of the Pollution Control and Local Government (Northern Ireland) Order 1978;\n(g) section 13(4) of the Electricity (Scotland) Act 1979;\n(h) section 61(2) of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Areas Act 1979;\n(i) sections 20(9), 144(6), 169(4), 170(3), 178(5), 181(9), 254(6), and 290(9) of and paragraph 3(3) of Schedule 6 to the Highways Act 1980;\n(j) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .\n(k) section 79(1)(c) of the New Towns Act 1981:\n(l) section 8(1)(c) of the Acquisition of Land Act 1981;\n(m) section 105(1) of the Civil Aviation Act 1982.\n(2) The following provisions of Schedule 3 to the 1981 Act (being provisions by virtue of which British Telecommunications is for the purposes of certain enactments to be treated as a statutory undertaker, a public utility undertaking or other public body) shall cease to have effect—\n(a) paragraph 10(1) and (5) (miscellaneous);\n(b) paragraph 23 (the Civil Defence Act 1939);\n(c) paragraph 31 (the War Damaged Sites Act 1949);\n(d) paragraph 39 (Schedule 4 to the Public Health Act 1961);\n(e) paragraph 50 (the Local Government and Roads Act (Northern Ireland 1968);\n(f) paragraph 52 (the Harbours Act (Northern Ireland) 1970);\n(g) paragraph 55(2) (the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1972);\n(h) paragraph 66 (the Fair Employment (Northern Ireland) Act 1976);\n(i) paragraph 73(2) (Schedule 16 to the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980); and\n(j) paragraph 74(2) (certain provisions of the Highways Act 1980);",
