# The Telecommunications (Registers) Order 1995, Article 2: Interpretation


In this Order—
“the Act” means the Telecommunications Act 1984;
“bank holiday” means any day which is a bank holiday in England and Wales under section 1 of and Schedule 1 to the Banking and Financial Dealings Act 1971; and
“registers” means the registers kept by the Director under sections 19, 21 and 23 of the Act.
