# The Television Selection Services (Designation) Regulations 2026, Note: Explanatory note


(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations designate a number of television selection services as regulated television selection services for the purposes of Part 3A of the Communications Act 2023 (c. 21) (prominence on television selection services).
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no, or no significant, impact on the private, voluntary sector or community bodies is foreseen. Instead a de minimis assessment has been prepared as this instrument is likely to entail some costs for businesses, but the net impact is estimated to be below £10 million per year.
